hi, hello, I have a website now, yay.

This is something I've wanted to do for a very long time. Needed somewhere to share my thoughts and creations. I'm hoping to backdate posts about some of my more interesting projects.

The site is not in its final form, there's a lot of nice little things I've left out. I'd like to have tags, a decent system for footnotes without manual numbering, an RSS feed, probably a proper post list, maybe some kind of nav in the page header. But for now it's good enough. I even drew a little logo by jabbing my fingers at a touchscreen. It's low-fidelity and unrefined, it's me.

Right now I'm writing this on holiday on an iPad. It is not a very good development environment; the feedback loop is awful because file access seems to break when multiple apps try to access a file, so I have to close my terminal every time I update the page. I'm pulling various bits of markup from my previous attempts at making a website, things like the styling and subsetted fonts.

This maybe barely fits the definition of an April Cools post. I don't usually publish websites (although it's not particularly far from my usual skill set...'), it's not a joke, and it's comparable quality to anything else I put out on the web. Although it's past midnight now so I've missed it, but not in UTC+0 which the post date is shown in :]

Anyway, here's hoping this isn't the last post here :)
